    Hi,

I apologize if I did not word my question correctly, but hopefully you can understand what I'm asking.

The background story is this: I might purchase an unlocked, ATT 9900. My carrier is TMobile and I'm wondering if I can clear that ATT device and just install the official TMobile OS/Software. Is this possible?

Also, I previously had a Bold 9780 and I backed up everything. Will I be able to restore some data (contacts, etc) on the 9900?

    Appreciate any help.

    Thanks!

Will the AT&T 9900 have the proper frequencys for T-mobile? I think they are different and the T-mobile needs bands 1,4.8.

It will work, albeit like you said you MAY not get the same level of connectivity service...

Question is, why do you want to load tmo os?
Carrier doesnt care which OS you are using. Do you want to get UMA?

Correct. As long as you have a tmo sim and delete the vendor file you will get all the tmo splash screens etc...

I have an BB9900 from AT&T, I installed the OS from T_Mobile to get 3G 1,4,8 because AT&T is 3g 1,2,5,6 and I need 3G 1,4,8, but When I cheked the advanced options I still have 3G 1,2,5,6 bands. I wonder if thats because I dint erased all data I just reintalled the new OS, What sould I do? a wipe with Jm Cl loader, please Help me cause I have a 9930 and is CDMA on 3G I dont want to change my phone again.
    best regards

I'm interested with this as I have an ATT 9900 on the way and I'm on T-Mobile too. Could you post the found threads for this? Thanks!
