Couple of other threads on this subject where people have mentioned the sideloaded square and works great. I occasionally have a need to process CC and have used Square on my iphone and ipad. Now I have it sideloaded on my Z10 but have not needed to use it yet.

Ya I'd be interested in knowing if the sideload works seamless and the adapter works in the Z10 audio jack.

Yup, got it from goodereader and I signed up via Web a long time ago when I first sideloaded it on my PlayBook. The reader didn't work from the PB. But I got a good read on the Z10.

I side loaded the converted Android app on my PlayBook. I signed in and it had the list of previous transactions. It recognized the swipe attachment too. I haven't tested an actual transaction though. Square should publish it to BB World.

Version from good eReader does not support Canadian accounts.. Need the latest version for that.. I bought one of those really cheap Android tablets specifically for the purpose of rooting and using to extract .apk files for converting to

Ask Koz to get the latest .Bar file. Search Crackberry for "Ask Koz". I think he is out of Vancouver.

Plus merchant account monthly fees, swipe fees, and minimum monthly charge fees, on top of them taking a percentage of the charge.

I chose Square because I have low volume charge numbers, and them only taking a fixed percentage (without other fees) is much more affordable. It worked great on my Note 2, and was pleased that the side loaded app works fine on the Z10.

Somebody needs to hip Square on what's up. Not every android "showing" IS actually android. Some of those are BB10, obviously. How hard can it be when we all got the port from goodereader or whatever? There is NO reason to be standoffish to BB. None whatsoever.

That's probably a good idea. If Square knew their Android app works already out of the box, and it would only take a few minutes to have it ported, they might be inclined to add it to BlackBerry World. It might even show them enough interest to create a native app later.
