On legacy devices if you hit shift and then enter, it would start another line (in bbm or txt msg) is there a way to do this on the Z10?

As of right now, no there is not a direct way. A few members here have come up with a couple of work arounds. They will probably chime in any time now.

Hopefully that eventually gets fixed in a future update.

Apparently shift or caps + enter button works in some apps but not the messaging ones.

In the latest 10.1 MR update you can enter line breaks by pressing shift and enter.

9700 > 9900 > Z10

This ability arrived with 10.1 and higher I believe. Works very well with 10.2.0.1047.
