    Hello,
I have successfully installed an BES 10 with Exchange 2010. Now additionally I have to connect the BES 10 to Exchange 2003. On the Server there doesn`t runs active sync. Do I only have to activate Active sync on Exchange 2003 over (Global Settings-Mobile Services-Exchange ActiveSync) and activate the User under Exchange Features "user initiated Synchronisation"?
    Or is there something additionally?
Attention! My BES 5.x Server actually communicates with the Exchange 2003 Server. So is it possible that BES 5.x and BES 10 are communicating with Exchange 2003 Server at the same time? Do I have to delete the BES 5x user bevor activating on BES10?

    Thanks!

I need that, because some of the BES5 User now owned an Z10 and I cannot migrate their mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to 2010!

Yes you need to activate ActiveSync on the Exchange 2003 server via IIS. Then the user has to be flagged in Active Directory to use mobile sync.

It's always better to delete the user on BES5 first, so it doesn't interfere with your Exchange 2003 server.

The hardest part is to have ActiveSync properly working. Once done, the rest is easy peasy in BES10.

A/S does not sync everything when using Exchange 2003. You will not have memo's and tasks sync'd in 2003, IIRC. As Mr Pat said above, remove the user from BES5 before adding them to BES10 A/S. Exchange 2003 will concurrently support BES 5 and BES 10, yes.

    Thank you.
Is there an document for how to configure ActiveSync with all known issues and Problems?

    Thanks!

    Thank you.
I will disable the user, but with Mobile Management Studio I have the possibility to manage a view devices for one user. One in BES 5 and Multi in BES10. Normally it must work with activated BES 5 user!? What do you think!

    Thanks!
