How do I change the brightness in bedside mode? The combination of red and an extremely dim backlight setting means I can't see the clock from its perch a few feet away. My 9930 was the other extreme--too bright--but I prefer too bright to not seeing it at all.

You can't change it. I'm pretty sure it's to prevent creeps from looking at it while you're sleeping.

If you're sleeping next to someone, the fact that it's dim means they can't see it, and therefore won't complain about it being too bright.

I'm usually the one who's the creep in the bed. Though it's not usually for looking at someone else's phone.
