I was doing great with my yahoo messenger until someone told me there was an upgrade available. I tried to install the newer version 2.1.33 and received the following error message:

net.rim.device.apps.api.adressbook.DuplicateAddres BookEntryException

Can anyone help me get pass this error message?

Yes, I have but I get the same error when it boots back up.

Thanks for your help, Sunkast, but the fix was so simple I'm ashamed. I simply changed my address book to allow duplicate names, took the battery out, put it back in and my trusted yahoo messenger was back. Who knew?
