    Great to see that Kik doesn't have to be an active frame to receive messages

    I love kik too totally disliked what's app even on the iphone. Kik you can share pics and videos. Signing up isn't based upon your mobile number like what's app (sign up using an email) plus you get notifications when you rec a message. Kik is one of the best side loaded apps for messenger.

    I definitely prefer Kik to WhatsApp. Hopefully they either make a native app (especially since BlackBerry asked them if they were making one), or bring the Android port to BlackBerry World.

    Not exactly. Every time the phone is restarted the app will need to be opened in order for notifications to resume.

    Hi there. What version of kik are you using and do you have a link to the bar? I have had it side loaded for couple weeks and mine "Definitely " has to be open to receive notifications.

    If I remember correctly, RIM sued Kik couple of years ago because it was too good. The guys who worked on Kik were former RIM employees that worked on BBM. So yes, Kik was always very good
