Wtf... tried to send an 8mb video to my wife via Gmail and it wouldn't send because the file size was too large but it let me text it to her. That's got to be a bug

It's a gmail limitation. Doesn't work with Lumia either. Sucks for sure.

For example, you just recorded about a 10 second vid, and Gmail won't let you send it through them. How would one go about sending the vid as an attachment via their Z10

I think BBM is capped at an even lower file size of 6mb. Was frustrating to try and share some video as well.

That's because BBM still goes through BB's servers (so will pin to pin when it becomes available). Everything else has no limitations at all, unless the service itself is limiting you, which is the case for Google.
