Hi Guys and Gals:

First, yes, I will probably get a Q10 either late this year, or early next year. However, my now Legacy BBerry 9780 is still in great shape, and it has more to do until it retires. I'm keeping it for a while and I still love it. so...

Here now, from the home office in Honolulu, Hawaii..... TOP TEN REASONS WHY I STILL LOVE MY LEGACY BLACKBERRY;

10: Great icebreaker for picking up chicks at bars who see me using it and say... "Oh wow! You STILL use one of THOSE?"

9: Rugged construction allows me to use it as a hammer whenever I need to drive a few loose nails on my deck.

8: Rugged construction also allows me to use it as a weapon when I get mugged by iPhone or Android users.

7: BlackBerry allows me to get work done quickly and efficiently, so that I can then actually LIVE my life, instead of spending added hours goofing around with a smartphone.

6: Battery life? FANTASTIC! 'Nuff Said!

5: I don't know, just something about using BIS and the inherent security it provides that gives me a warm and fuzzy every time I hit the "SEND" key.

4: Hey, if it's good enough for Canadians, it's good enough for me!

3: Love hearing my business partners say, "Wow, even Kevin O'Leary has upgraded to a Z10. What are YOU waiting for?"

2: The QWERTY Keyboard! Again, 'Nuff said!

And Number ONE.....

1: FOUR WORDS; "IT'S STILL A BLACKBERRY!"

Thanks guys. I AGREE. Im having separation anxiety about leaving my 9780 for the Q10. I would not be surprised if I bought another 9780 when this one finally says goodbye. Given the fact Ive had it since day 1 of the release and since it still performs like new and looks new, it just may last another two years or more. By then Ill be ready for a 10!

Yeah I still have my bold and torch even though I am using the z10. Letting my mother use the bold. And saving the torch as a backup.

I'm still on the same boat as you I love my 9900 to much to leave it. I'm even considering to buy a spare for the unfortunate day that the device stops working .

Agreed! I've since moved on to a "modern touchscreen phone," but...

I was fixing the email settings on a coworker's Bold today, and have to admit I miss those keys... and that BlackBerry button where all the little treasures were, lol... and the trackpad! It's just soooo easy to move around and pick and select and go back and... I can really fly on BBOS.

Sigh. Gonna miss the RIM/BBOS era.

Perhaps. I'd have to look at the Q vs the 9900 and make a decision.
For now - I have the 9780 to keep me productive.

It's getting time for to consider the upgrade, and I do have my eye on a 9900.

I think I'll hop on a 9900 for a year or two, THEN migrate to a Q or whatever is available at that time.
