Lately my phone would almost overheat and the screen would go dark yet be lit up. I put up with it.

Then today it started freezing after 5 minutes of use....but if I left the phone alone and didnt touch it (around 2 hours) it would be fine until I started using it, then it would freeze 5 minutes later. I tried removing the SD card, battery pulls, wiping the phone and restoring with the new update but its still doing it.....

I think my battery could be toast but not sure possibly an unrelated issue

Any have any idea what this could be Im boggled.

Did you install any new apps (assuming you reinstalled those apps after a wipe)?

If its under warranty, Id suggest to send it for repair

Basically with no third party apps it runs fine, as soon as I install a third party app IE whats app the phone will freeze after 2 minutes of use.

Phone is not under warranty and dont feel like buying another one as I want the q10

So it might be a third party app. Try installing them one at a time (1 per day) to see if it freezes. Then you know who the culprit is.
