    OK, call me a klutz

After work, I am walking out to my car with my still new Z10. No case, I prefer it naked except for a screen protector.

Hands full of stuff, my Z10 slipped out of one hand. Trying to catch it with the other hand I end up hitting it instead.

Then, I try to break its fall with my foot but instead end up kicking it. My poor phone skids across the dirt parking lot, ending up in a mud puddle, completely submerged.

Took some seconds for me to retrieve it, but it was still functioning and I was able to get it opened up and dried off quickly.

It appears none the worse for wear and every function seems ok.

Reading that made me cringe and hold my Z10 tighter. Good to hear all was well in the end.

That's nothing. I went diving in a local lake today and used the Z10 as both a torch and a navigation device underwater. It has a GREAT GPS reception even under 12 feet of water and cloudy sky!! The iPhone always lost signal underneath 6 feet.

No skin of course, like it naked. Great device!

I tell you, the camera flash clearly illuminates things over three meters away. That's a lot under water. Try it.

    Don't bother.

Z10 touch screen doesn't work worth a damm deeper than 10 feet. What a piece of junk.!

You must have a horseshoe located somewhere that I will not mention! Normally when a phone gets wet, or has a severe fall it is "!@#$#@!" in more ways than one!

If the phone is working after what you explained you are under a lucky star!

Picturing it all, it would make a good TV commercial. The end being a close-up of the phone lit up and functioning after a near death experience.

What! You have to be kidding surely? Why would you risk that? It's not advertised as a waterproof phone like some others. What were you thinking!

    Sheesh!

Whoosh.....!!!!!!!!!! Careful! Z10 in action here!
