I was playing around with my z10 today and just found this Out. Not sure if it's an OS glitch or built into the software. But I find that when I hold onto the screen about an inch from the top with my thumb. And use my other hand to hit the top unlock / wake up button it opens right to the main screen on the phone. No swiping required. Can anyone else see this happen with there phone. I tried it on my gfs white z10 and same thing happened. I know if you have a password on your phone it will not work.

Works for me ... it's gotta be a glitch though. I do hope that it is fixed on an update.

I have noticed this but I cannot repeat it without fail. I have to say I kind of like it as a feature.

Hit the lock screen twice in a row fast. It just goes black and comes back. Skips the lock screen completely

@ niss - Why fixed? I would rather not have to swipe at all. Or as a alternative, make the notifications be pressable.

I like the locked screen feature because it keeps my grandbaby from unlocking my phone when I'm not around.

I truly do not mind it. At least the option would be nice. I like the swiping idea but not having to always use it would be nice. At least for something like that

Technically it's a glitch, but it's most likely because of the leniency in detecting swipe up speed. Just like if you flick up from the bottom really fast, you can unlock without swiping halfway across the screen. It doesn't bypass the lockscreen at all, but just dismisses it in a different way than swiping up, so it isn't a security issue or anything (ahem...Apple and Samsung).
