Yeah a common misconception about iphones is the ipods in them have the best audio. In fact they have one of the worst, i have found that Sony is the best, and Blackberry is also very excellent.

Coming from BB 9700, the Z10 sound seems a little low. But overall I like the phone.

My 9800 is better than my iPod as well, especially as it supports FLAC

Tried the Z10 for the first time in my home stereo system after playing for days in the car. Not bad at all. Very good compared to other portable devices. Maybe not upper end audiophile quality but that may be a limitation of the high bit rate MP3 files I played. Absolutely acceptable sound quality for my household and very good for the car.
