    After reading all the articles on Crackberry about unlocking I decided to have a look at my phone. In looking at the SIM section of my phone, it says it's unlocked. I can share a screenshot if anyone wants to have a look, but essentially is says Network Subset (Unlocked / Service Provider (Unlocked).

    Did I just happen to get an unlocked phone out of the box for some reason?

    you should have 3 part unlocked

    Network (mep2)
    Network Subset (mep3)
    Service Provider (mep4)

    Correct.

    Network and Network Subset are different locks.
