    Update:
The app is now called forte.fm, and version 2 has been released.
    Details here.

    -

I couldn't wait for the official Rdio app for BB10, so I wrote one. The app is simple: you can login, view your collections, playlists and top albums.

It's a webapp, but it's quite snappy on the Z10. I will be wrapping this app and submitting it to the store this week.

    BB10Player

    Some screenshots:

Note: As with Rdio itself, if you don't have an account, you will only be able to hear 30 second song previews.

    Thanks!
Just a note I missed above - the app will be free on App World, and the app itself will run locally on your device (Internet is required to stream Rdio though).

Impressive. The interface is nice and clean. Kinda of makes me wish I subscribed to rdio.

Hey is there anyway that you can give me early access to it. Like I said it ran so smooth on Web so I am just excited to have it running already natively.

I still have to submit it, hopefully today. Not sure about a way to provide early access.

Thank you! As a web-app, it functions quicker that most Z10 apps!

Is there a way to view my collection by artist? Or just by Album? Thanks again!

Thanks for this. I will definitely be using this app. Any idea on whether an offline caching option is possible? That would be incredible. Thanks again for your work on this.

I will be adding a bunch of new features to make library browsing management easier soon. For this in particular, I'm going to add a toggle switch for "Artists" "Albums".

Offline caching would have to be supported by the Rdio API. After a quick look at the code, offline caching is probably not on their radar.

The only possible cause for having to log in every time is that you are in Private Browsing mode. This prevents web apps from storing literally *any* information on your phone, which includes your Rdio login.
I don't recommend using Private Browsing mode for anything other than just that - "private" browsing.

Great app - anyway to search or do you just need to add to collections from a computer?

Search is on its way. For now, I use playlists. The goal for the first version was just listen to the music I have on Rdio on a phone, so it's missing the curation functionality of the desktop app.

Oddly enough today the app remembers my log in upon opening!

Nothing had changed as far as I could see, both days on lte, not wifi.

Glad to hear. The only thing that changed on the app was the addition of offline support (for the app, not Rdio content), but I guess it's possible that would have helped in some way.
