Most people actually saw much better battery life with that update.

What apps are installed, do you have any side-loaded apps, do you use Blackberry Travel? WhatsApp? GPS?

Unfortunately since I won't have a Z10 until Wednesday I haven't followed the side-loading discussions here much, so I'm not up on the technique.

Here's the general forum section on sideloading, you may want to browse around there or search it:

DDPB is the software you use to sideload apps with. When you connect your Z10 to your computer and sideload apps, there should be a button where it says uninstall. Just select which apps you want uninstalled and you're done.

Hey BlvckFvlcon, I am operating on a macintosh which strictly uses the Terminal application to sideload the apps onto the development mode Blackberry. How does a mac user like myself uninstall apps. Currently I just hold the app icon until the trash can appears and then click that..... Is that not sufficient?

i'd say you wipe...update to the latest OS and then sideload your android apps again...saves you the trouble of trying to find the culprit app

If everyone had to do such things to respond to any problems we'd all be in a heap of trouble.

Jory128: I assume you used the Crackberry guide here?

I don't see any uninstall commands listed there, and while they probably exist, probably easier to use a different method.

From this thread, I found this article, which should do the trick, and much easier to deal with than the command-line thing.

I'm on Telstra in Australia and was prompted to install 10.0.10.90 straight away. Battery life seems good so far. I wonder what's new in. 99? Wish you could easily install different OS versions like on previous BlackBerry's.

Thanks Omnitech. I believe this function only works with Google Chrome and PC computers with Window's..... I gave it a try and my browser came up with nothing.......

The linked discussion was specifically about Macintoshes. And here is an exerpt from the article:

Let’s start, I use the Chrome extension called PlayBook App Manager, mainly because it can be used on many different PC OS platforms whether Windows or OSX.

    Note: "OSX".

If you're using the terminal I assume you're using the blackberry-deploy command? Just run blackberry-deploy without any options and it will give you a list of commands. You'll need to use the list apps option, get the app's ID, then use the remove app option. It's pretty easy to do if you're comfortable with a terminal.

Just done a 5meg software update from 10.0.10.90 to the exact same version number. It said it was for better battery life but just curious why it didn't change the version number to something like 10.0.10.91 or something? (sorry if this has been said already)
