Hi there, just wondering if anyone knows whether the Z10 supports Hindi language typing? My old Torch 9810 did and I just had to download a module to activate it but haven't had luck figuring out how to do it with the Z10 yet. Thanks for your help.

I think that all the languages available are already pre-loaded on the phone. I don't see any Hindi there, so I guess it doesn't have it at this time.

Thanks for your reply, Neilwick. There's been some talk online in media that they were going to add a Hindi keyboard, but from what I can tell, so far, no dice. If anyone sees this and can do something about it, I'm sure I'm not the only person who'd love to have it! It's the only thing I really miss from OS7. Shame it wasn't brought over...

Complain and shout as much as possible OP, BlackBerry shouldn't be treating their top buyers (India, South Africa etc.) this way.

I believe the 10.2 release will have the Hindi pack and Hinglish text prediction. Eg: "Kyaa ho raha hai"

I'm on 10.2, and it does have Hinglish text prediction. Yeh bahut achha hai. There's also a cool app called Mojo Hindi that lets you type in Romanized Hindi, and it puts it into devanagari script for you. You can then share it as sms or email, or copy and paste like this. ??????? It's awesome.

Oh. Well, Crackberry turned it into question marks. But, I've used it in emails and text messages and it worked fine.

Thanks for sharing about that app, Iklim! It works pretty good. I'd still love to have the native keyboard back on the phone, but this will suffice for now.

Wow, Pragnesh, that's exactly what I was looking for! I just activated it on my phone...it seems functional, but I don't get why they have the alphabet in that order...

    क्या आपको अक्षरों की स्थिति की वजह से टाइप करते की कोई तकलीफ़ हुई?

Settings > language and input > go down and add a language and then enable it

When typing on the left of the space bar there is a world globe icon click on it.
