Since I upgraded to 10.0.10.90 I have been very satisfied with battery life which easily lasted a full day, every day. Last couple of days its nosedived to less than half a day. During this time I have loaded travel, mireo, and St John's app. What I don't understand is that it is diving with all of these not active. Any ideas please?

Does your phone become hot when the battery falls fast?

I am having same issue and saw someone mention the auto scanning of emails causing battery drain so I turned off autoscan. Haven't run for long enough to see if that's it. While autoscan is off you can forward itinerary emails to the special address travel gives you to have trips loaded.

Lots of threads in these forums on this particular issue. Do a search and explore some of the ideas in those threads.

I raised a specific issue and wanted to see if others has similar experience after installing the apps mentioned. You are right there are huge amounts of discussion on many aspects of battery. I have looked at some of these and couldn't see a relevant answer. If you have seen one you might have included a link rather than issue a sarcastic and unhelpful comment.

I have noticed battery drain and higher device temps since loading BlackBerry travel. I have had no issues before this. Still not an issue but if this continues I'll have to delete it for now.

Agreed. The influx of CrackBerry mall cops are more annoying than duplicate threads.

Since I turned off the travel auto scanning its running cooler, so that could be the issue.

i have experienced this problem .. seems to be with adding some apps ... Blackberry tech support told me to do a FULL Backup using Blackberry Link then a FULL Restore ... it worked as my battery improved considerably afterwards .. you may want to try this ...

This happened to me yesterday night while I was at a party. The phone got extremely hot and the battery tanked. I don't even have Travel installed so there is definitely no auto scanning going on. I rebooted the phone to clear the hanged process - whichever it was - and it calmed itself down. Very odd though.

No, haven't noticed it, despite having travel installed.
Then again, I don't get many emails on a weekend...

Never noticed it during the week either though.

Any attachments? My Z10 tried the same - with plenty of attachments, else I never saw that happen again.

Only 5% drain in three hours with phone idle since turning off auto scanning in travel so that appears to have been the culprit for me.

Ok guys tested this carefully. Did the suggested battery pull to start with, drained the battery and then did full charge. Then used battery guru to monitor drain. Achieved about 7 hours with very limited usage. Few emails, couple of calls, an hour browsing .
Turned off email scanning in travel and monitored today
This time after 7.5hrs was still showing 30% after much heavier day including 45 mind satnav
So I am happy problem solved and quite satisfied with this level of battery life .
Astonished that app I am not even running can cause thus level of drain
    Thanks for the help!!!

While in the app (this applies to most apps) swipe down from the top of the screen and select the settings icon.
