    Not sure whether to join or not, never used BBM before and like the quiet life. Can I expect a flood of messages if I join or will I only see messages directed to me specifically?

    P.S. I'm in the UK, not sure if that disqualifies me or if anyone wants to create a UK / EU group

    As it was said above, anyone can join! It's a group chat so there will be messages all the time I'd say.

    you can still be in a group and not have the alerts. once in the group, tap the 3 dots on the bot right and go to group settings and turn "show chats in blackberry hub" off
