How relevant is a product?

Many times, it is just a matter of perception, which turns into reality after a while.

James Bond, not so long ago (Casino Royale) was using a special edition Sony Ericsson. Blackberry really should give away the z10 to all the shows: NCIS, Person of Interest, Touch, The Following, Criminal Minds, Honey BooBoo, Kitchen ****, Games of Thrones (LOL), Walking Dead, Revolution , whatever.....and to all new and incoming Hollywood movies free licenses to product place all over the place!

And while doing so, give them a mock up "cool animations" Hollywood edition app, that saves time to their FX people.

Having said that, I still see the blackberry 9xxx series or something like it on a few shows still. I can't remember which, so I thought that some of you could remind me where you have seen it lately.

As an example, I did see one on Flashpoint last wednesday, while they stuck a GPS tracker to a van, which had the fellow I-can-remember-everithing-genius dude hostage...

Was just messing with you, and advertising and marketing is one of the best ways to get your product out and shift public perceptions. And it's amazing that BlackBerry really does have something special with BlackBerry 10.
It just needs to get it into the hands of the masses.

Just saw a couple of Blackberries in Arrested and Development S4 which aired on Netflix. Funny to see with all the BlackBerry fans angry at Netflix for not making a BB10 app. I did not download from Netflix btw.

I was just thinking the same thing. I have seen BlackBerrys in a lot of movies. Saw one in Breaking Bad. Just saw one in the Side Effects movie. So i don't get it, iPhones and androids are so popular yet I'm always seeing BlackBerrys on TV and film.

In keeping with his frenetic personality, Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) had a BlackBerry with a physical keyboard, on which he typed away furiously. This was in season 1.

I won't be surprised if they give him an iphone for the next season.

I have seen the Z10 on White Collar(USA Network) and The Michael J Fox Show(NBC) recently.

You may be to young to remember the band wars back in LA in the 80's and early 90's. Bands used to have to Pay to Play.

With all these electronics and gadgets I wouldn't be surprised if companies were paying for placement.

Also in a documentary I saw on James Bond, the Aston Martin manufacture hounded the studios many bond movies to have the car featured.

Is this a Z10? I just saw it on Homeland. Claire Danes' character Carrie Mathison uses it. It looks like they changed the icons but the form factor sure looks like the Z10!

Lol, Sam had a 8310 this morning on a rerun of Supernatural.
Somehow he chirped Dean that he was Ok in the elevator when the guard was decapitated.
My 8310 never had Nextel chirping capabilities.

Yes, Z10 has definitely made an appearance in tonight's episode on @NCIS_CBS. During the episode, there was a full screen shot of the Z10. You could not miss seeing the device.

I was watching a Rob Ford "event" where several people were video-ing him. I'm pretty sure one had a z10. I couldn't find it again due to the number of duplicate videos of Rob Ford on youtube.

It is not the tackle video, but I think the one where he says he has "enough to eat at home."

Back when the z10 came out, I watched the movie "Olympus has fallen", I notice almost every phone in it was a blackberry and I may have seen a dev alpha as well. I don't have any pictures though
