Android has a frustrating learning curve, but once you've learned it and gotten used to it, it's a good OS. I have a hand-me-down HTC Inspire and the worse thing about it is the native e-mail client. I don't even use it anymore. I just use the Gmail app to check my e-mail.

If I couldn't buy a BlackBerry, I'd be buying the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

I would probably get an android phone. Can't get into specifics cause I just haven't done the research.

If I couldn't get a BB (Z10) I'd just stay with my old Galazy. No reason to switch, they are all the same.

I'd get an iPhone because I already have a Mac Book, so I'd just dive even further into Apple's ecosystem, and am familiar with iOS because I've had two iPod touches.

    I hate thinking like this.

the new HTC One M7 or another Android - i wouldnt get an iphone because the double home button click multitasking is clunky and nasty to close apps with (tiny - on each app and i have tiny girl fingers) and windows phone although nice hardware designs has a horrible os layout imo (either tiles or long lists), lets face it no one in reality would rather go without a smartphone for good if they couldnt have a blackberry no matter what they might say

Probably iPhone to be quite honest. That's just by process of elimination though, not me cherry picking from the rest.

So weird, I also had two iPod touches (2nd and 3rd gen) and a MacBook (late 2008 aluminum unibody), but for some reason I was pulled to BB and went BB4Life.

That said, I'd probably go Xperia Z. It looks like it has some cutting edge hardware that's indestructible and waterproof to boot.

Most likely a SGS4 or Note 2 or whatever is new.
Hpmf. Actually contemplating not having a BlackBerry is painful in itself.

I use a Note 2 along side my Z10, mostly because I develop apps for both platforms. I've gotten used to Android, although I still prefer BlackBerry. The thing I do like about Android is how customizable it is (I like to tinker). I also like the larger screen, although the pixel density on the Z10 more than makes up for the size.

that's probably because you're a BlackBerry that must have been mistakenly placed in a basket full of apples and now you've finally found your way home =)

If the Z10 never came along my next phone would most likely have been the Sony Xperia Z. But as it was I don't have to go down that Android route. : )

    not sure.

I already have an iPod Touch so getting an iPhone would be like getting the same thing.

Unless you get a really high-end Android, theyre pretty crappy IMO lol. I hate the inconsistency between devices. You can tell there is a disconnect due to having a separate OS and different manufacturers...if that makes sense.

Windows Phones are kind of in the same arena with Blackberry app wise, but it doesn't seem like it would offer the organization and productivity as a Blackberry.

So....I dont know. Might just go back to my old Sony Ericsson from 2006
