In theory you are guaranteed a unit - should supply be short and you can't find any in-store.

Because this is the way all e-mail notifications like this work with all carriers. You will more than likely get an e-mail after you are able to purchase the phone at the store. I think they use these e-mail sign-ups as a way to judge the interest in a phone. As always, CB is the place to get all of the latest news for BlackBerry whether it be from the staff or the CB community.

Exactly, I don't went to pre order and end up getting it after I could have went to the store and bought one!
