I was at a conference last week; no wifi available so I was checking ofc mail via bridge. I received a number of large attachments and was wondering if it's possible to store them on the PB, or how to retrieve them if they are already stored somewhere.

Of course I could see them by using bridge email, but I was traveling abroad and alternating between my office SIM and a local SIM with no BB service (man, would I love a dual-SIM BB!), and it was hassle to switch SIM cards just to reread a document.

If you used Bridge to retrieve the email and attachments, then the attachments are generally stored on the bbphone.

Check the path on the phone

I don't know if having a BES (corp) account might affect that.

Thanks F2; you learn something new every day. A follow-up question: if the attachments are stored on the phone, is there a way to open them on the Playbook?

I'm slow this morning. It would depend on the nature of the file. For SOME file types, the bbphone has a Menu command "open on pb." For others, you might be able to use a program (Files/Folders and others) to copy/move the file from the phone to the pb.

Others might have additional ideas.

Well, yeah...if your PlayBooks bridged, the File Manager can carouse on the BlackBerry's accesible storage as if it was on the PlayBook.
