The director of BB India quit his position on Saturday. Not a whole lot of info is given in the article (article is only about a paragraph in length). What do you guys think?

I'm guessing, based on the immediate departure, he was fired. Likely, we'll never know why, however, there did appear to be some negativity surrounding the pricing. I bought my Z10 in Canada, off contract, for $550 Canadian.....The Z10 was selling in India at launch for over $800 Canadian.....

Without doubt, much of the difference is likely retailer mark-up, and the wholesale cost charged by BBRY is probably in the $450 range. However, is it possible India set the wholesale cost higher, which forced a higher retail sell price? I know there were reports of sell-outs in parts of India, but are the overall sales less than expected? If so, was it based on a pricing miscalculation?

Regardless, he should be easy to replace.....Lots of talent in India.

The Z10 sold out in a matter of days with a higher price-point which leads me to believe that had nothing to do with it.
