EE / Orange told me in a tweet, that it was a new phone and there was no software update.... which was helpful.. NOT

I've requested my unlock code from Orange. Already have the Vodafone sim in hand. So hopeful that it won't take long. Looks like the quickest way to get the update.

Anybody with any experience on how long it takes for the code to come through?

I didn't think EE would give an unlock code if you hadn't had the phone for 6 months?

Costing �25 for the mep code from Orange. My Z10 was an upgrade during my contract, that might be the difference?

Someone mentioned it could take up to 28 days for the code to come through?! ...its only been a few hours, so early days!

Whilst I appreciate that each provider is different, it took O2 48 hours to come up with the unlock code for me.

I also had the Vodafone sim that I had to cut-down - that took some doing - remember when you are cutting down which way up in the sim socket the sim is meant to sit!

Anyway, once all that had been done, the update went quite smoothly - probably about 25 mins from announcing the update to being installed. Only issue I had was with emails, not populating correctly but a little messing about and waiting, all seems fine now.
