Well it's not the same glass as that other phone, but it seems tough enough.

I'm the sort that slapped a screen protector on pretty much right out of the box anyway though. I dunno, given the cost of a device like this, and the screen obviously getting so much use, I thought it the prudent thing to do.

Screen seems fine - I bought mine and hopped on a plane to Dominican for a week - admittedly I didn't use the phone that much that week other than to watch a couple movies, take some photos and have an alarm clock, but that didn't stop my from slapping an InvisibleShield onto the phone as soon as I got back (they weren't avialable anywhere around here at launch). Screen seemed to hold up fine for a couple weeks without it, but I like the idea of replacing a $30-dollar protector much more than replacing the entire screen (if needed).

Have mine for a month now and no issues. I don't have a screen protector for it (well i do, i just never installed it and i don't think i will!) I do however have the leather pouch for my Z10 so it would be protected in my pocket and keep the screen safe!

I as had a screen protector put on professionally and you can't even tell its on (all my past attemps on past phones where disastrous) happy I did, because started to get some scratches on the protector now after a months use, probably keys in th pocket.

I got two small scratchs on my BBz 10 when i decided to remove it from the bulky flip cover. Placed a screen protector on it and used a slim back cover.

Can I ask why you would put the phone in your pocket with keys?

I have a couple of scratches on my screen. I never had a problem with my Torch, and I'm disappointed. Hoping an invisishield screen protector will hide the scratches, but in the meantime I have a cheap ebay protector - will be having the Zagg put on by Future Shop in Canada.

I like a protector because going through your contract without dropping and/or scratching is so unlikely lol.

Mine had a scratch within hours of opening the box. No idea how it got there, didn't drop it, nothing hard or rough touched the screen to my knowledge. Screen protector is the way to go.

weird... was it an open box unit? can't see how it would get scratched so quickly!

No, new and unopened box. It is a small scratch (although enough to distort screen colors when viewing from an angle). I could have missed it on my first examination. Put a protector on and now you don't notice it unless you're looking for it.

I wish Blackberry put a Gorila glass on the Z10. It doesnt look like scratch proof, even with a screen protector on I am being very cautious.
