That would be awesome as right now there is no KOBO or Kindle for BlackBerry 10. KOBO says they're working on an app, but how long will it take? Thanks

Whatever happen to that Kobo app?
Didn't BlackBerry have some type of partnership with them?

Do we know whether its native or an Android port?

I use the Android port on my PlayBook unofficially and it works perfectly so I wont be too disappointed if it is just a port.

Good news for sure. Is it an android port? I have the android version side loaded right now and it works perfectly. Would be GREAT news if it turns out to be native though.

Not sure. I personally don't think it matters either way. Something like Kindle wouldn't be bad at all as an Android port.

Considering it works fine sideloaded...I would agree

It worked perfectly sideloaded. Really doesn't matter whether it is android or native. I mean a lot of apps are so good now I can't really tell the difference anymore

For the masses that know nothing of sideloading, even if it is an Android port - at least it will be published in App World for easy access.

    Good news.

This is huge news. Considering that they had "Committed" to supporting the PlayBook I was a bit skeptical of their commitment to BB10.

Glad to see this. I'm worried about Kobo, tbh, since they've changed ownership and may not be as interested in the platform anymore.

Has anyone been having issues with the sideloaded version not synching your place properly?

I have had issues with the sideloaded Kindle on my Playbook syncing properly... and the constant request to register, even though I am. I do find it is pretty buggy. Would love a native.

Every other day or so...even if I hit sync, it doesn't upload my latest read place. But if I exit and restart Kindle, it does it just fine.

Great news! The only sideloaded app I ever loaded onto my Playbook. Works great there, with just the odd glitch. Hopefully be even better on my shiny Z10. : )

An Android port might actually be better. WP8 has a native Kindle app, and it lacks the ability to create highlights and notes. The Android and iOS apps have these features. I want the whole enchilada.
