    I got a Z10 from Fido (Canada), I am wondering can I follow the fido's update as a locked phone if unblock my BB?

    unlocking your z10 doesn't change when you receive updates.
    It's the SIM card that dictates when you get updates.

    Example, I'm on Bell. As you know Bell never released their update to the z10 yet. From my unlocked phone, I grabbed my friends Telus SIM card and slapped it into the phone and updated my phone.
    Then I put my Bell SIM card and phone is updated with latest software and running on the Bell network.
