    Tried running the in built maps app but it shows nothing but a blue dot in the centre of the screen... any information on the subject???

    BB10 does not have Maps for India thats why there is just a Dot.
    Zoom out by pinching and you will see city name and if you zoom out at country level, Indonesia etc will have road maps, but not India.

    We have to use 3rd part App.
