How do you remove the BlackBerry Games application on the Z10? My son got a hold of my wife's Z10 before it went into password lock and opened the games application. He must have clicked through the setup and linked BBM to the Games application. In the application permissions for the games application, it is not possible to turn the BBM link off. Is there a way to undo this?

You can't remove it unfortunately, it's baked into the OS.

You can't change the app permissions either. They are all locked On by default.

Some people use their phones for business and don't need BBM updates sent every time their kid plays a game on their phone. BlackBerry 's answer will be they should be on a BES server.

In our case, there are no games on her phone and we should be able to delete this application or at least revoke its BBM permissions.

Is this.. Is this actually the case? Or is this a bug. There must be a way to either delete the Games application, or block from BBM.

It took me a few days to figure out it was because of the Games application that all of my BBM contacts were getting status updates anytime I or a family member played a game. Would love to know how to make this stop - apart from deleting all of my BBM contacts.

I think you could disconnect the app and not let it connect to bbm :/

You can hide certain people's bbm updates. This way you won't see the kids games updates.

Yes, I want to know how to delete this Games thing as well.

I use the Z10 for work and the app appearing on BBM is not professional to say the least.

I would have thought that BlackBerry would have realised this.

Hmmm...the permission can't be toggled off...

By the way, the process to change permissions is as follows: Go into system settings > security > application permissions > change the drop down from "All" to "Connected to BBM" > look for "Games" and click it > turn off BBM

However, the BBM toggle for games is locked to the "On" position.

Even if individual games are not given the permission to connect to bbm, the games app still somehow updates your status automatically. Not good

Erm BES? BlackBerry Balance. Why are you using a 'business' device without a BES plan? BBRY have already done what they need to. Plus its a smartphone, it has games!

First BlackBerry phone so don't have any BBM friends to verify, but does this work:

Go into the games app, go to edit profile, make sure public profile is turned off.

At the games app home screen, click on "Friends" isn't there a way to delete all you bbm friends in there so they don't get a notice?

You can try doing a security wipe...not a great fix but it might work. I wiped mine the other day and it had to set all the links to BBM back up.

    Yes I definitely agree!
BlackBerry RIM should allow to disable and delete this game stuff instead of dictate to have it enables all the time.

Strongly hope BlackBerry will listen to this request!

"Why are you using a 'business' device without a BES plan?"

Throwing the blame on the user for something that should have been designed into the phone from the beginning. There is no help in that.

I would also guess that many, many BBRY devices are used for business without having a BES plan. If BES is required, BBRY is going to continue to struggle for market share.
