I have no data connectivity this morning in the Salt Lake City area. Anyone else experiencing an outage? I've got sketchy GSM coverage, but that's it. Thought it might be me, so tried powering down and even a batt. pull. No luck

I've got the EDGE network running fine (once I left my house were I've got my UMA connection) - Might wanna give T-Mobile Blackberry support a call to see what's up.

I'm in the Southern Utah area and the EDGE network has been down here too. I do have GSM, but my corportate emal is not working on it.

I'm in Salt Lake City and I haven't had any problems with EDGE. Alittle slow at times but nothing major. Unfortunately, its not a 3G roll out. CS rep last night told me Salt Lake won't get it until 2009.

Everything is working great in Baltimore. I have Edge at -66 dBm right now. Wish RIM/Tmo would come out with a 3G Javelin, lol.

I'm in Florida and have had GSM all day. I tried pulling the battery, but no luck. I even had no signal at one point in the day. Where did EDGE go?

We are still having trouble in Tampa, FL. It is not all the devices at one time either, some work for a bit, while others don't.
I first noticed it on saturday (10/4/08).

well i seacrhed the support pages in the TMo site and did a few thing with no luck. Finally described my problem on the "mail" part of support and less than five mins later I had EDGE again. That probably had nothing to do with it but its not the first time i had the no GPRS/EDGE network problem.

I hope its back for the rest of the night, since i work the night shift and i keep in contact with ppl and well do a lot of things i shouldn't be doing at work in my BB.

I and a few co-workers lost data around 1:30-2pm and it has not returned for most us.
I even restarted when i left work to see if other towers would allow data connections but no luck.

sure hope they are doing some fancy upgrades for all this downtime

TMO BB support says the issue was reported 12pm eastern time, it is impacting all data service, not just BB's.

I guess i should have called to complain on saturday when I first noticed it.

I did ask him if he had record of other florida outages and he said no.

He did mention that they will be working on compensation for the loss of coverage once the situation was resolved.

My EDGE has been down all day in Tampa area... Spoke to a pretty knowledgable tech at t-mobile and he expressed to me that we are infact switching to 3G today...

Now I wonder if my Curve will be 3G compatible to get all its benefits...
