It does not. Are there many phones that do at this point?

It does not. It is in my wishlist (see my signature for link to my wishlist thread). I think BB only needs to push out a software update to support APT-X codecs so it might come later.

    Galaxy S3 / HTC stuff.

Hope due to modular nature of QNX they would jump on it.

yep - it should just be a software implementation of codec.

Yes, I hope too that apt-x will be supported by my Z10...
Currently BB and iOS do not support it, but many new Android devices are already compliant.
    PLEASE BBRY!

It provides near cd quality audio over bluetooth. An improved 'codec'. I have it on my Braven 650 bluetooth speaker.

Any possibilities for 10.2 supporting the apt-x bluetooth codec?
It would be great... maybe with a Spotify release in parallel...

Thought aptX required special hardware support. How did this get enabled all of a sudden?

Today I stumbled upon day the support for the apt-x codec ... what a pleasant surprise. Not sure when this was added but it means that I can now stream from my Z10 and Q5 to my Chordette Gem apt-x receiver into my hifi. Yet another reason why I'm chuffed I chose BB10 over the competition

Couldn't agree anymore...found that Apt X support after the 10.2 update with my Z10.
Running Apt X supported bluetooth to my Dac Magic then to my Valhalla and on to my D5000. With my new Z30. Near wireless bliss. Definitely noticed a clearer transparency with my mids and a firmed up lower extension. And this while listening to Slacker.

    Mobbing on yah haters.
