    So:

On Tuesday (before i got my OS update) -- it lasted me from 9:00AM till 9:00PM

Today (my first day with the OS update) -- it could BARELY last me from 9:30AM to 6:00PM -- thats like a 4 HOUR DIFFERENCE

And i was doing pretty much the SAME thing these two days (granted i surfed the web for like 10 minutes with my usage today -- and i was messaging just a TEENY bit more)

We'll see how it goes TOMMOROW! Maybe I'm tripping!

    - Benny

    UPDATE:

Yesterday, after DRAINING THE BATTERY to 0 and charging it all the way back up .... I got up to 11 hours with 30% remaining (before charging it for my night sleep!)!

Lets see how this holds up

I would normally get about 14-18 hours before.

After update at 19 hours I still had 41%.

Personally for me a big improvement.

Sorry it hasn't worked out for you so far.

My battery life is waaaay better. I used it more than normal and it is still doing pretty good. My wife's looks about the same as before the update but it is hard to tell since she is a light user.

I had a full charge at 6:00 am and it was dead by 11:15. I hope this will get better in time. I've tweaked all my settings as low as possible. I really don't think I should have to do that. Perhaps the update was too much for the battery????

Wow I was going to make my own thread praising the improved battery life! My phones been going since 11 am till now 130am the next day and I am still at 35%. I suppose today was a little light. I've been using side loaded whatsapp, BBM and Internet browsing. No videos but I am very impressed.

Before the update my phone would be down 10 to 20% before I left the house today the battery indicator has hardly been changing. Definitely an improvement.

    Very, very satisfied.

Took my phone off charge at around 1:00pm, it's currently 4:00am. After many texts, a couple calls and emails, Internet use, some games, and about an hour in a poor service area I still have around 50% battery life. Also showed off some features to a friend of mine who has a GS3, he now wants a Z10

Since update, charges faster and holds charge longer. No question about it.

After the update. My battery life has been wicked. I played music for about 1 hour during my commute each way , played NOVA 3 for 30 min, played Sector Strike for 1 hour, text message, calls, email, browsing for an hour, took photos and videos of my baby girl. All in 17 hours. Battery Life was at 20% at that point. I am loving my BlackBerry Z10 OREO.

Dam, I was starting to think I was the only one. I can't say that my battery is any worse, but it sure isn't any better. So far today, it's been unplugged for approx 2 hours, I've used it for about 15 minutes total to catch up on tweets and I"m down to 89%. I've now turned wifi off to see if that helps. It won't do much good to get great battery if they only way I can do that is to turn everything off and never use the phone.

Before the update I could not complain about my battery useage at all. Was better than my old 4S and 9900. Then the new update comes out, which addressed battery consumption (it did say in the change log, especially for power users. I am not) and my battery life has also decreased. It is not terrible by any means, just worse than I was getting. It is now on par with my old 4S.
I am draining/cycling my battery as we speak, so I'll make a more concrete conclusion in the next few days.

Can't say I have noticed much change one way or the other. But I have done only one full charge since the update. Battery easily lasts one full day with heavy use which is acceptable.

Does it drain even with all active frames closed? If not then I suspect some 3rd party apps active frames are running in the background ineffieciently draining your battery

Same experience. Chargers quicker and battery lasts much longer.

I've turned my LTE back on today to see how it fares.

No active frames running. In fact, I deleted all the apps that I installed when I first got the phone. I've tweaked all the settings, turned GPS off, no location services on. Just don't get it. I lost 50% in three hours, after a full charge. Currently re-charging, to try again. Any thoughts?

I use to get the worst battery life before the update....max 8hrs. as soon as I take it off charge wait a half hour before I get in my car and I would be at 91%. Now with moderate usage and streaming music all day with active frames open I'm at 61%. At 3pm. Taking off the charger at 6 thus morning. I'm on par for at least 25hr plus on a single charge with moderate usage and wifi, BT and LTE on. I'm very satisfied

Mcjean, why not let the battery drain more before recharging? I have always thought it better to let the battery drain more completely before charging.

That's exactly what I did with the new upgrade. Let it go down to 10%. Now today its awesome.

I'll give that a go... I know with my Bold 9780, I was told to charge every night regardless of the battery level. It was amazing - I know it wasn't a touch phone and maybe that's the difference. Thanks for the tip!
