Has anyone sideloaded the Android port of Soundhound on to a Z10? I have the app sideloaded on my Playbook and it works great except when you press the 'listen to the song' icon (or whatever it is called) the app just force quits.

So, I am wondering if this same issue plagues the Z10 version.

    Thanks.

I really want a native version instead of a port.

The native version is coming! Soundhound has already emailed confirmations and everything. Hopefully, it'll be here in a week or so.

There is no SoundHound sideloaded version that will work. I have personally tried over 8 different versions and they wouldn't work.
Have also tried every other music id app and had the same result.

"Our team is quickly building SoundHound for BlackBerry 10 devices and we are excited for the release of the application, yet we do not have an exact date at this time."

By the length of time this app has been in development, I would guess that it is a native app they're working on. I would suggest keep emailing them so they know the demand is strong.

They say they are quickly "building" the app for bb10, makes me also think that it will be a native app.

my only guess for this particular delay is the Blackberry World integration into the app for music purchases etc. Also probably has to do with the 10.1 implementation that will hopefully bring along a new wave of apps...

Having said all that...The fact that 3,5 months after the device release we have no music ID software is pathetic to say the least .
Kudos to Soundhound or whoever builds a native app. Shame on Blackberry for not building their own app.
