Hey guys,
is there anybody who uses OS X with the Z10? I got two problems:
1) BB Link shows an update but it does not download it
2) i cannot connect to my BB ID via Link

Am I the only one who has that kind of problems?

I am using it with my Dev Alpha device. I am not experiencing the issues you mentioned but have had many other issues. I am waiting to get my actual Z10 before digging deeper.

I have barely got it to work at all, and that's on three different Macs. It will do WiFi, but only worked via USB once (and so I only have one backup, which I can't even restore.)

I had major problems with link on my pc's (laptop&nettop) but when I used it on my imac (late 2011 model osx mountain lion) everything works. they updated link software last week, have you gotten that version ?

It works perfectly find, my retina macbook pro is flawless..

On my iMac it works pretty well. The restore I did today was all screwed up, but that's probably not the Mac's fault.

Link runs ok on my MacBook Pro, both USB and WiFi. Just uninstall and re-install it. I had no problems with it at all.

I do indeed. Link was working fine on my work iMac before I updated. It was afterwards that it stopped seeing the USB connection. So utterly frustrating.

I can't transfer Music or Videos and the WiFi connection constantly drops off with my iMac and Z10

yep. it worked once to upload and install the update on my mac, but thats abt it. after i did a wipe and restore on my Z, i installed, uninstalled bb link a million times, but it still wont download and install the software updates via link. backs up fine, but this was driving me insane.

so ive set up the link through my parallels running *cringe* windows 7, and it works flawlessly. and how come the windows users get the slick black gui instead of our white bland link app window.

i have littlesnitch installed and allow every connection possible to the blackberry link. i cannot for the life of me find where its a firewall issue. this includes me turning off my firewall on my mac too.. stumped.

I remember I has issues initially. I'm running 10.8.3.

I first trashed BlackBerry Link and then re-installed it. Then I deleted the device from BlackBerry Link and re added it. Wireless and USB sync has worked well for me since.

Turning the firewall off works for me:

KB34142-After signing out and back in with the BlackBerry ID in BlackBerry Link for Mac, the network shares do not mount in the file manager

I tried keeping it on and letting incoming connections to BB Link and the other program that was in there but it was a no go. So I turned the firewall off and voila.

It is definitely Mac Firewall.. I turn it off, and works perfect. Turn it on and fails.
I've tried adding BBLink, Tunmgr, PeerConnect to the "Allow LIst" and nothing seems to work.
I would be good if BlackBerry could sign the stupid app so BBLink can open ports as needed. This is frustrating.

Led me to the Nginx process.

From the Mac Firewall, I hit Options, then the + sign.
press cmd+shft+G to get to allow you to input a directory location. I put this.
/Applications/BlackBerry Link.app/Contents/Resources/Nginx/
From there select the Nginx process and make sure it is set to "Allow Incoming Connections"

After doing this, it works great. I also have added TunMgr to my allow connection list (i'm not sure if that needs to be there or not)
