    -Swipe up.

    Your phone is unlocked. But does that mean that the phone is constantly polling the screen? Is this using more battery powering the digitizer? Should i just enable the normal button unlock?

    Some people think so, as it's always waiting/watching to be swiped. I just use the top button.

    i think it should be more of a interrupt based awake where touch screen controller sends interrupt to device processor and wakes it up.. the only battery impact should be to just keep bezel activated all the time for a touch detection..
