Showing off my shiny new Z10, I decided to try NFC sharing with some of my friends' Android phones. Here's the results:

Z10 / Galaxy Nexus = Works perfectly.
Z10 / Galaxy SIII = Didn't work at all, although my friend's SIII had broken NFC anyway.
Z10 / Nexus 4 = Works perfectly.
Z10 / Nexus 4 (custom ROM) = Works, after rubbing the phones together for a moment to find the NFC sweet spot.

File transfer (picture) failed with SGS3. I could sent but my friend couldn't. Samsungs push to geam sucks :P

They have their own gimmicky name for it "S Beam" even when I had an HTC One X it would have trouble sending files to the S3

Tried sending and receiving photos, calendar and contact information to a SGSIII last night. Nothing worked either way.

But my friend tells me his S3 won't connect through NFC with a Nokia Windows Phone either.

Ah thanks. Didn't know they call it S beam. Was a bit embarassing for my Android fanboy.

Update: BB to WP8 fails as well. I switched BT on as well but absolutely nothing happening...
