I just wanted to to let everyone know, that I've confirmed this all with a Blackberry 'Specialist'. Aside from cropping the image after it has been taken with editor, or changing the dimensions from either 16:9 or 4:3 in the camera app itself, there are no options to reduce the size of a photo with the camera. Blackberry rep stated that the app is designed to take the largest and best quality pictures only. They have had a lot of feedback from users, and plan on adding it "in the near future". The only solution to taking smaller photo's, is using the front facing camera, lol.

This is important, because my work requires photos with a maximum photo size. It makes sense too, you can't expect everyone to zoom out on a webpage to fully see a big picture, instead of just taking regular size photos. I need the photos set to a normal size, they get uploaded in real-time.

Thanks for posting this. What a dumb feature to miss out - I don't really need or want to use up my data allowance sending people 2MB+ pics every time I see something funny/useful. ** hum...

While this is true, it mainly applies towards uploading photos or sending via email.
WhatsApp and BBM both still send lower quality pics.
