Steve Carlson of USCC has indicated they they will not be selling the new BB10 phones.
But that they are still talking with BB.

We need to let USCC know that this will cause folks to jump ship.
That USCC needs to offer something more than Droids and outdated Windows phones.
That USCC could make a ton of bucks if they come out with it before the big four do.
How well the sales are going elsewhere.
That the big four will be selling it.

I will be leaving USCC if Verizon is reasonable and have the new BB10s.

Be polite, state facts and say it clearly.

Write or call now! Let them know we are the customer and demand BB10!

I wish this could make the front page or somewhere that folks visit more often on this website.
I am not so sure how many USCC folks visit this part of the forum.

I have been with USCC since 1995 but I'm afraid that I have resigned myself to the fact that I am going to have to go to another carrier (probably Verizion) that is a little more Blackberry friendly.

As a US Cellular customer since 1995, I hope my opinion counts. Thank you for the email address, Steve Carlson will soon be hearing from me. I'd hate to have to switch carriers...

I emailed Steve Carlson over a week ago. Zero response. After six years with USCC, it looks like it's time for Verizon. Sorry, not every customer wants an Android! Talk about having no idea what services and products their customers want - USCC is a perfect example of how a company continues on their freefall from relevance.

I am happy with USCC, and fed up with RIMM. Too long, too late. I heard that USCC tested the BB10 and it failed numerous tests, according to a rep. Of course lots of rumors out there, but I just got my Motorola Electrify M and it is a great phone. I really was planning on BB10, after a Pearl, Tour and Torch. But hearing that Basilie sold his own BB stock.....that was the final straw.

It passed Vodaphone, Rogers, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and a bunch of others.

USCC is passing and going for the S4 and perhaps the HTC One.

Left USCC over not having the 9930. May give them another chance if they get the Q10, or even Z10. Otherwise is buy a phone outright, and use it on pre-paid somewhere.

Customer reps are clueless while their media folks say no to BB.

Why it so hard to try and buy this dang phone!?!?!?

So, I actually received a response from US Cellular last week after the message I sent to Steve Carlson. Here is the reply - not encouraging (by the way, my name is NOT Steve) and horribly done:

    Dear Steve,
I appreciate you taking the time to write to us about the Blackberry 10. I sincerely apologize for the extreme delay in sending our response. I can understand how important it is to receive a prompt resolution for your request and I appreciate your patience while awaiting our reply. I certainly understand your desire for the Blackberry 10 and your point about the security features it offers. I can certainly see that this feature would be of utmost importance to your business! While the articles I read online do state that Steve said we do not have current plans to offer any BlackBerry 10 products, but he did say that U.S.Cellular is "still in discussions" with BlackBerry(r). Did you know that Samsung also offers an Enterprise Security Server, to rival the one for Blackberry? I certainly do not want to tell you it is as good or better, I really do not know, I just heard about it and wanted to pass this information to you. As soon as new equipment becomes available, we add the device to our list of available phones at U.S. Cellular | Cell Phones | Mobile Phones | Wireless Phones. I have forwarded your email to our Blackberry Device Managers though, to let them know of your interest and need for one. I apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this might cause you.

While reviewing your e-mail, I noticed that you did not include the last four digits of your Tax ID number. We strive to make your U.S.
Cellular(r) account secure, which means that you must verify certain information, so that we can access your account to fully address your concerns. The information above includes all of the general information I can provide to answer your question. If you would like us to assist you with any account-specific information, please re-submit your question with the [Insert Needed Information] as it appears on the account for verification purposes. You can submit this via our website at Contact Us | Customer Support | U.S. Cellular under the 'Business Services'
    section.

Steve, I understand how valuable your time is, and we are always eager to help. If you would like more immediate assistance, you may contact our Customer Service Department at 888-944-9400 or 611 from your U.S.Cellular phone. Our store associates will also be glad to help if you prefer to stop by a store. To find a store near you, simply enter your zip code at U.S. Cellular Locations | Store Finder | U.S. Cellular. We appreciate your business and look forward to assisting you in the future.

    Sincerely,
    Kristine S.

I promptly replied to this message and pointed out some of the obvious problems. First, addressed to the wrong person, second, the [Insert Needed Information] in the second paragraph, and third telling me about the Samsung security and not knowing if it is more or less secure than Blackberry. In my reply, I cc'd Carter Elenz, US Cellular's Executive Vice President, Sales and Customer Service. I did get a call from his office this week and this guy tried to tell me the Blackberry 10 probablity do not look good. Evidently some technology compatibility issues, although he had no specifics as to the actual problems.

Verizon, here we come. They clearly love the Samsung/Android platform.

Yup, couple this with the fact that USCC isn't going to offer iPhone and you can tell they're a sinking outfit.

Us cellular stated the have no plans to carry the z10 at this time. Unless BB comes out with a cheaper model, be sure that bb7 devices will be the only ones carried. By the time that happens, all the devices will be outdated and then it ll be months behind the competition.

I just pre-orderd my Z10 from verizon and when the Q10 is released we will do that for my wife. I told USCC that i don't want a Droid and that seems like all they carry anymore. She (the customer retention specialist) didn't have an answer for that.

I have already jumped ship. I wireless provides coverage in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. No contract, unlimited talk, text, and data 4G (3GB) at $45/month. I have had my white Oreo Z10 for three weeks. I purchased a phone from tekshop.ca for $699 with AWS 1700 so it will work with Tmobile, AT&T, or Sprint. You can use other SIM cards when overseas.
I am canceling my US Cellular account. Call quality is great.

Well if what they are saying over at the Team US Cellular turns out to be true US Cellular will be loosing alot more customers and not just people jumping ship for the iphone and a BB10 device. I just don't understand why US Cellular tries so hard to want to be like the major 4, when not being like them have kept them in business in the past. What is being reported are the following changes:

Upgrade fee $35 per device, may effect online orders as well
    $15 charge for changing numbers
22 month contract for unlimited data plans holders
bye to the auto pay discount

Of course those that already have the auto pay discount should be fine, but I wonder how this would effect me if I had to up my data plan for a BB10 physical keyboard device.

Got an email from USCC again today repeating the same old line:

"Thank you for taking the time to write us. I truly apologize for the delay in our response. I am happy to assist you. Currently, we do not have plans to carry the Blackberry Z10. However, we are still in discussions with RIM regarding this product. While we don't have definite plans to carry this product right now, this is subject to change in the future. Regrettably, I am not able to say for certain if we will ever carry this product in the future or not. I apologize any inconvenience this may cause."

And then I checked their mobile website and a big video teaser ad for the Samsung S4 was presented.
