Viki is a 3rd party app. Doesn't seem like it was high-profile enough to be included in the BB10 announcement.

I was really surprised that they didn't outline this feature of the phone during the launch presentation. It seems like one of the major new exciting features of BB10, and yet they just completely forgot/ignored it? Perhaps it wasn't quite ready for presentation to the world, but they should have still at least mentioned it!

Yes, I was surprised not to see any mention about voice control/integration, The alarm clock/bedside mode, and the notifications. I realize they can't go over every feature of the phone for a launch event, but those three are notable features and improvements IMO.

i feel like they didn't really need to put much emphasis on voice control/voice recognition as it has been a standard for a long time. apple gave it name, doesnt mean every one else needs to tout it as a major feature. its just one of the things thats there as part of the smartphone experience.

Apparently the native voice is so so at best which is why they didn't demonstrate it. Not live when it runs a chance of making mistakes. VIKI is a 3rd party app and is still showing Will Launch Soon on their website.
