Hi y'all,

Notification showed that there was an upgrade for BB App world, so I selected the 'upgrade' option...but now after restart, the BB AppWorld icon does not appear in the menu [!] any advice anyone? Thanks in advance,

Do a soft reset , then re-install it using Blackberry Desktop manager , this happened to me on Saturday evening

Thanks Gyro I don't have the Desktop Mngr set up properly...I'll try to dl AppWorld from the net directly. will let you know if it works out. Thanks again

I downloaded AppWorld from the net, its back on ...funny thing is that it shows the 'upgrade available' icon but when i open AppWorld it says no upgrade available. :S

For some users on BES running BlackBerry Balance there appears to be an incompatibility that has not yet been resolved by RIM. We'll probably have to wait for the next beta version. See Upgrade Appword to 4.0.0.55 -> "Uncaught exception... - Page 2 - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Better for you to uninstall bb world and then reinstall it again via OTA.

showed upgrade for bb app world. tried to upgrade, and icon went missing. unistalled, then reinstalled using desktop manager. have app reinstalled, but version "2". any advice?

Same thing happened to me. I just went to blackberry's site on my phone and downloaded app world like that.

If you lose App World and try downloading it OTA and it doesn't work then you need to unninstall App World and BB ID, do a battery pull and then download BB App World OTA.

I have sort of the same issue, Except that mine is with my BBM, the Icon isnt anywhere , I caint find it, but when I go to the App World, its there & showing an Upgrade, & when I TRY to upgrade it WONT!! So I've been trying to fig out how to upgrade, & get My Icon back?? Please Help if you can & Can you still Use The BBM even tho there's a Upgrade for it? & if so How? Thank for the Help!

Please expalin what a SOFT RESET is ? I just downloaded the Blackberry Desktop App, & my BBM isnt wanting to upgrade, I also caint seem to find the BBM icon anywhere! I hope that WHEN & IF i get this to upgrade that my icon will show back up! So any assistance that you can give me will be very helpful, & Thank You!
