Hi everyone,
I have a 32gb BlackBerry PlayBook running OS 2.0.1.358 and I have tried to sideload apps onto it via DDPB installer. However the icons appear but they can't be opened. I am in developers mode and I don't know what I am doing wrong. Also apps downloaded from BlackBerry App World do not work as well, their icons appear but do not open. This has does not happen with all apps such as those made by BlackBerry but on the repackaged Android ones. The IMDb, Dropbox, WhatsApp and TinyBird do not work. But i then sideloaded LocalBar 2 which works and i'm really confused, also VBAMpb , PCSX-PB and Snes9x-pb emulators all work. I also am using .bar files.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Why are you still on OS 2.0? How long have you had your PB, and did you buy it new? When 2.0 first dropped, people who had been running the beta version of the android player under OS 1 had the same problems you described.

What Paco said - Hit "menu" (the gear icon)> software updates > check for updates > install 2.1.0.1088. Then make sure you're using the latest version of DDPB, found HERE.

You'll get 2.1.0.1088, but go and look at the first post in 'summary of changes for 2.1.0.1032' thread, and make sure to have your files backed up using file copy, and desktop manager backup. File copy is in case any problems using dtm backup or restore. Also a good idea to have your calendar entries and contacts somewhere else just in case. Saying all that most people have no issues with upgrades, mine worked fine without needing any wipes or losing anything, remember most of the people who have issues end up searching and commenting on crackberry, the 99 percent without issues don't even come here
