Just like everybody I too trusted rim and updated my playbook to Os 2.1
However since then when every I connect it to my computer I get this warning "Unable to charge battery with connected source"
I am pretty sure it used to work before the update ..
Can someone confirm ?

It's not a bug. It still charges, just very sloooooooly. Same as before. It's just that in 2.0 your PB didn't alert you to this fact.

It is a badly worded warning --- USB doesn't have enough juice to charge anything --- but instead of RIM telling you that there is not enough juice to charge your tablet, RIM tells you that you can't charge at all.

I can confirm that message popped up on me in OS2.0 before OS2.1 was released.

Yes I agree that it was not found on Os 2.0, we used to get a plug icon when connected to the computer.. But all that's vanished... I am just presuming that there were some battery issues with slow charging.. Or its a bug lol. So if I am commuting I now need to carry my wall charger along with my laptop .. How sick is that.

Your computer doesn't charge your PB fast enough so you now get a warning.

Nothing has changed other than the warning. I once left my PB attached to my computer all day didn't charge one iota and that was long before 2.1

RIM has stated in their user documentation that charging from a USB port is not recommeneded. The warning message is just supporting that.

This is no BUG! It will still charge the same as before but now the playbook detects if the USB Port it is connected to gives enough power to charge it at a normal rate. Most USB Ports dont have enough power to charge a device like this as fast as a wall plug for example.

The info text rim choosed is just a bit misleadin....
