I've been using a case on my BB9900 a week after I bought the phone.

I'm debating on whether I should keep it on or not.

I recently saw someone with a BB9900 on the plane without a case for it. Got me thinking...

I keep mine 9930 in a Otterbox Commuter case. Every once in a while I use it without a case. I just hate getting scratches on my phones. Blackberry phones can take a beating.

I used to us OtterBox Commuter case. It is a great protective case, but a little on the bulky side and if you have to pull the battery, it is a chore to get it off the phone!

Switched to a carbon fiber applied skin from Skinomi..It takes a little more time but the finished product is sleek, well-protected and not at all bulky. 9900 still maintains it sleek look and feel!

Here is their link: Skinomi TechSkin - BlackBerry Bold 9900 Carbon Fiber Skin Protector

    It sure is!

I am very careful with my phone as well.

Might leave it naked as well. Lol

I have the Verizon holster/belt clip... very thin. I toss on my Otterbox Defender for my rough adventures. On my nights out, I keep it naked to show it off.

For me, can't beat the Seidio Convert Combo. Has the Seidio Surface case as the foundation that is SUPER simple to remove for nekkid phone use, use with the BlackBerry charging cradle, or for battery door access. Add the rest of the combo (EZ on and EZ off) for tougher environments/more protection. AWESOME holster for the full package. Package deal on CB is 42.95 before you catch a sale or use a discount.

To charge in a cradle/dock WITHOUT removing the case - buy the Seidio Charging Dock. (You have to take off the skeleton and skin, but the inner Surface case is designed to work with the cradle). Cost on CB is 27.95 before you catch a sale or use a discount.

P.S. The Convert Holster in this package deal DOESN"T work with the Surface case when you take off the outer skeleton/skin. For a holster that works with the Surface Case add this Surface Holster . It's just a smaller size/slightly less beefy clip version of the Convert Holster. Cost is 24.95 on CB before you catch a sale/use your discount.

This 3 item combo can't be beat - although at full pop they add up to almost $100, but I've waited to get the threesome one at a time as Deal-of-the-Day. BUT WORTH IT AT $100!

Same here. The phone is too expensive to replace if cracked/broken. Otterbox Commuter is always the first immediate purchase after I get a new phone...any phone. I have one on my iPhone 4S and have dropped the phone numerous times, not one scratch or problem, and that glass screen is very fragile.

I use the Seido case. I call it the Bat suit, but it works well to keep dust out of the USB input and headphone jack. Best investment I ever made.

Nah, mine's nekkid. The back might have one of those sticker things, but I usually get tired of it. Oddly enough, I find the screen hard to scratch.

Otterbox here. Though tempted to take it off. I have a theory that it keeps the dust from getting under the screen.
That really annoys me. Maybe when I get a new phone, the 9900 will be a spare, then Ill leave it out of the case.

Well I'm glad I bought another 9900 after trading my last one for the 9790. I have the original holster than came in the box plus the blackberry leather holster, blackberry hardshell, blackberry softshell, otterbox commuter, otterbox defender, and iSkin vibes. Right now she's got no case on her. Only 26 hours old. Sexy as elle.

I look at cases like a condom. It may give you protection, but you don't get the real feel! My 9930 is the perfect size in the hands. I just think having a case on it would interfere with the functionality.. I'm not a case man if you know what I mean... lol

I do not use cases for my BB phone or tablet. I find the hardware very durable on both devices. the 9000 was pretty much indestructible. The 9900 is more delicate to look at but seems to be just as durable. Besides, who wants to take away from the gorgeous look of the 9900 by slapping a case on it? .

I went case less with my Bold for a long time. I love the way it looks and feels naked, but then one day I missed my pocket and dropped it from waist high onto concrete. The point of impact was the metal band, just above the convenience key and it caused a pretty ugly dent. Now I use a casemate case just to cover the dent.

Someday I might get around to replacing the band. I hate having that one imperfection on a otherwise flawless device.

I love the belt clip but I find it scuffs up the phone on the botton, sides and top. Kind of dissapointing

    Defender
    Softshell
    Seidio belt clip
Seidio belt clip for extended battery with active case
    Pocket pouch
