For install instruction to load any carrier 8120 OS on your BB:
1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.
***Steps 2 is optional but recommended
Unfortunately, I don't have 8120 just 8320 and 8110
Have fun !!!

Reason: change format and add install instructions
I delete the vender and DM see's nothing to update? Been there and had this happen everytime I upload. I don;t want to wipe the BB. Upgrading a blackberry sucks big time.

Did you manually delete the vendor file or use Crackmem?
I cannot use use MMS over UMA with this release(Tmobile). Nor can I reach the Email setup pages on the phone via UMA. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I recently upgrade my os from .55 to .81 and almost every other day, my 8120 reboots itself. Its not really a problem, but, at times, annoying at best. Any solutions??

I'm on tmobile and I have yet to encounter any problems yet. I don't get UMA all too often, so if I do ill yet it out (MMS).
Overall this is a brilliant upgrade. I was waiting for the tmobile version, but since they're content with 4.3 I decided bits to them. I had a previous 4.5 that had all sorts of problems. On this Gmail works great, as does html emails. Even this site looks so much better.
Hats off to you RIM.

Upgraded from .37.
And my phone often reboots too. Especially when changing device settings.
I was hoping that some bugs in the sure type ish, which is very very bad for german language have been resolved. It sucks always having to scroll down for a word that i use the most but just wont be put up on top in the list of suggestions by suretype software.
also when i set the music player to turn music louder and check "do not ask again", the blackberry asks again after reboot...
both "bugs" have not been solved yet.
