A guy in a BBM group shared this BB10 Bold picture. Is this true or just another rumor floating around in cyberspace? I don't know where he got it from. The screen looks similar to the L series and look at that sweet keyboard! Sorry I don't have a clearer picture.
Just thought I would share and get some reactions and comments. Fire away!!
If that's it, other than 9XXX owners, who would buy this ?
Where's the innovation and the slick packaging consumers now take for granted ? I have a 9900 and I wish it had a slightly larger screen which is why I really liked the Victory concept, posted a few months ago. The keyboard is cool but it seems to me that the designer got halfway along and then reversed himself to go back to the old 9900 form factor.
I just put this in photoshop and measured the screen size. I'm getting 166 by 133 which obviously isn't real size or anything like that, but the point is it's not a square which the next Bold is supposed to have a square screen (720 by 720).
And even if I'm off, there's no way I'm off by saying the width is 24% more than the height.
It would appear to be a poor decision by RIM to waste space that could be better utilized by having that BlackBerry logo. Either a trackpad, a larger keyboard, or more tactile buttons for quick access, would be a more practical, functional option.
The device otherwise looks nice, retaining the design philosophy from previous models.
That said, I would prefer this to be a fan-made, or fake device. It looks sleek, but could be more functional, and the latter is far more important to me.
Please, no more pics of the TK Victory. I have enough trouble with my girlfriend now she discovered I am BBsexual... She will break up next time I'll be tight in my pants just watching something on my phone...
I'd not seen the Victory concept either - what a beautiful design. Exceptional. As is the Blade slider.
Lets hope the real things are good.
Don't think we'll be seeing too much hardware at BBJam Americas - still months and months away from 2013 Q1 release. It would be a mistake to show it off and then not have the phone available, like Windows 8 and Nokia Lumia 920. Love 'em or hate 'em, Apple know how to do it - reveal their new flagship phone and then let you buy the damn thing a week later.
