What are the best guesses of when BB10 will launch? We hear beginning 2013, or quarter 1 of 2013, which would be at least March. Any good rumors floating around out there?

This is totally a rumor, but I remember reading somewhere that it would launch in the first week of January in Europe and then February in the US. Kind of a soft launch abroad and then full steam in the US. Who knows now. Things can change at anytime.
This has nothing to do with the L-Series but everyone else in this thread has covered that enough
I feel like Thor will announce / Launch a Slider at BB World in May 2013... and my prediction is that we will see RIM start launching phones every MAY (for the first few years anyways) to beat the big "Android Summer" and "Apple Fall."
Thor has already said that they are having great carrier support for BB10 Launching in Q1 2013 because they really are no other phones coming out then. So while trying to rebuild their brand it would make sense for RIM to have its own launch window without much competition instead of initially going head to head with iPhone by adopting their launch window.
Once BB10 gains traction then I think we will start seeing them try to go Head to Head with the "Big boys" in a few years
Well at bb jam americas it was announced the app deadline for developers is january 21. So if you know how long they need after that you can figure it out.
can't wait for the release so i can get rid of this damn iphone.i should've never left blackberry to begin with.miss my BB,apps seem to be working worse and worse everytime apple makes an OS upgrade.never had that problem with my BB.
Since dev apps have to be submitted to App World by Jan. 21st to qualify for the 10K dev program (Alec Saunders video), my guess is the drop date for the phone will be after the 21st?
I have no leads whatsoever so I am going to go with personal wishes.

Since Jan 10 is my birthday I think this would be a great birthday present.
Heh, Not a very nice way to greet a new poster, but hey as a regular on the Ars forums, I can see where the skepticism comes from.
Seriously though, a Bell authorized dealer sent us an e-mail stating just that. Whether or not they are right, remember - dealer NOT Bell, remains to be seen. I'm dying for it to be January, not March, so I hope I'm wrong.
I'm happy to be corrected, but when RIM state Qtr'X' for any pending release, it's usually as late in that quarter as they can get away with.
Unfortunately I imagine the release will be in March for the US and maybe into April for other regions.
I think you are underestimating them this time round, they will have probably not wanted to push back the release when they did, but having done so they would have had to have included a bit of slack in their estimate to account for carrier variations and I think we will see the first announcements for these devices coming at the end of Jan and then seeing the devices themselves in the shops at the start of Feb.
