I use my playbook to wake me up early in the morning. But this morning was something different then usual. When my playbook ringed the alarm i went o dismiss the alarm and at that moment i saw i OS UPDATE icon waiting to hit the update button.
I got so excited that i thought OS 2.1 is finally here. But instead of OS 2.1 its was a small update of 1Mb for OS 2.0.1.668 and i updated the same. The was named as "APP UPDATE"
But i am still wondering why this update was out. for which application this update was. I am not a developer so i dint know what changes it made in the OS 2.0.1.668.
So has someone experienced the same thing like me.
Some of use got the Bug Reporter app and some of us dint got anything after updating the same 1Mb update. Its so wired why did this update was out.
Why is RIM taking so long for OS 2.1 update. I know they have their own reason but still they should at least give us some firm details about the release of OS 2.1.
Recently i read the tweet from Bla1ze saying just "2.1.0.1004". But i could not make out whether the tweet was for OS2.1.
The OS2.1 is out there but we could not have it until the official day is declared by RIM, it pains so much.....

No, @Bla1ze saide: "2.1.0.1012 being tested for Gold Candidate."
The 1012 build is referring to BlackBerry PlayBook. In addition, 2.1 is and has been confirmed by numerous sources direct from RIM to be an upcoming release.
Without getting into another pointless discussion with arguments and all, I ask the same thing I know others think, that sentiment would be: "Would everyone just be patient, and stop with the 2.1 official subjects over and over. They do not change reality, nor do they alter any kind of behavior from RIM, but the topic sure gets old."
Not to mention the topic the more it is talked about has more and more inaccurate information about the situation introduced which just causes unnecessary havoc... When it is released I can assure you it'll be all over the front page of CB...
If people are starting to get these BugReport apps now, then it is possible to say OS 2.1 is no way near complete.
Basically no OS 2.1 release this week or even next month...just think about it.
Seriously?? I would say that with all the action, those who have stated that BB Jam is the event launch for OS 2.1 are correct. I've decided to roll back to .358...my 1mb update let's me do it now and wait and see. Less than 48 hours. If not, I can always check out the beta again.

Just got this today. I was wondering if this update takes the .840 out of beta and into the normal area so that it can be further updated without going and asking for it from the beta site.
My 16gb Playbook just got the 1mb update (no debug app), but my 64gb Playbook did not. Both devices were running 2.0.1.668. The only difference (besides BBid and 3rd party apps is the 16 was purchased at launch and the 64 last October. Maybe they had different baseline OSs? I can't figure out why one got the update and not the other. Both were updated to .668 within minutes of each other (before the update was pulled).
