Just out of curiosity, how often do you use your BlackBerry PlayBook in Portrait Mode?

When I hold the playbook in my hands I use it in portrait mode. Generally for reading pdfs

Webbrowsing, games, most games or using the stand feature of the case - landscape

I prefer landscape but do use portrait in some cases. Words w/ Friends requires it. Some other apps also require it. Sometimes when reading a pdf or other book-like document or to look at a portrait oriented photo (rare since I prefer landscape images)

Ever since i got the journal case with the blackberry mini keyboard my PB never see's portrait mode. When out of the case for the short time it is i prefer landscape over portrait...

I allways use portrait , I bought a playBOOK(with book case), not a playPAD (i dont watch vids or use it much for games either, i have no reason to use landscape except for all the apps that Force me to<-sick of that),, still waiting for portrait email

I use Portrait only if an app requires it or I'm using Reader mode in the browser. And when a picture requires it, either taking or showing.

I have started using portrait mode to type. I've started doing this to see if it will help me decide between the all touch bb10 form factor or the qwerty keyboard. I know the spacing is much greater, but I'm still getting a feel for touch typing, the speed and honestly this isn't too bad... Apart from the physical keyboard who wouldn't want the bigger screen for bb10? All that space will make the bb10 flow, layout and ui so easy and nice to look at and use... Although rim will deliver an amazing product with the qwerty form factor of course!!!!!!!!

Like many here, I find I use portrait pretty much exclusively for e-books. Not much else.

Now, I have pretty large hands, so the landscape keyboard is good for me. My wife, though, finds it easier to type in portrait...

Right now i am writing two books on my PB and i actually type at about 70wpm in portrait mode which is better than my home computer lol!

But in general games,videos,and news articles i read in landscape and the rest is in portrait.

Never just feels right in landscape

Next to never. Only if viewing photos shot/downloaded in portrait mode. I use the Playbook mostly for viewing websites in their "Classic" mode. With that said, I almost always use my current Nexus 7 tablet (and past Android tablets) in portrait, in that almost all Android apps, with the exception of video apps, were designed for smart phones, and hence designed primarily to be used in portrait. The playbook is also too heavy and not ergonomically designed to be held by one hand from the side.

I like to type long trip reports with docs to go in portrait. It's a lot more like two thumbing the 9900 keypad.
