anyone know when the OS update (i think 7.1...im currently running 7.0) for the bold 9900 will be released for ATT?? i check for updates on my desktop manager and don't see any.

i really want the battery saving under device options but it is not on my current OS. any leaked OS's that you recom for a ATT bold 9900? or am i safer to just wait for ATT to finally release the 7.1 OS update?

    O M G - really?

Nobody knows when or even IF AT&T will put out OS 7.1. Each version of 7.1 has different affects for different users verses what works best for them, just start using the latest and work back to one that suits your needs the best.

They might want to note that 7.1.391 from Rogers is the last confirmed build without microphone issues on an AT&T 9900...

You need to poke around this Forum, plenty of info here & not just in one place.

267 has no mic issues for me, and I get hotspot.

.267 doesn't have mic or hotspot issues on AT&T, but the battery life is not good...
I'm about to buy an unlocked (Rogers) White 9900 and load the latest official OS and use it on AT&T and see if it's the AT&T branded phones- or the network (with a Rogers phone) that causes the mic issues. I don't need hotspot .

I'm on it, and see no reason to change.
No mic issues, no IT policy, good battery, device analyser....very happy with it. Not willing to lose device analyser for an OS that won't really benefit me in any great significant manner.

You don't lose Device Analyzer on .523, it's just hidden.

Or, you can launch it using Advance OS and LED.

No problem, just remember that you need to do it again after a reboot or battery pull.
